All State Nomination Due Date: Sept. 12, 2010 (Midnight) ALL-STATE NOMINATIONS
We are proud to recognize those players who help to make our game special and memorable. The top 36 players in the State and all the seniors selected to honorable mention will be invited, along with their parents, to attend a banquet in their honor on the afternoon of Sunday, November 28th, 2010 in the Wisconsin Dells Area. Therefore, if you nominate a player you should ask them to try to keep that afternoon free. And if they are selected we ask that you encourage them to attend the banquet. As the coach of a player so honored you are also invited to attend the banquet. Please, complete a separate nomination form for every exceptionally good player in your program. The criteria shown below should give you a rough guideline as to what constitutes an exceptionally good player. Please send in the nomination form and a copy of your teams’ competition schedule by the deadline of September 12, 2010. The deadline is early so that the evaluation committee can get out and observe the players nominated. You are encouraged to nominate any and every player who may be deserving of such recognition. Late nominations will not be accepted under any circumstances. CRITERIA FOR ALL-STATE NOMINATIONS 1) The athlete is an impact player in every match played. 2) The athlete is one of the better players on the floor in every match played. 3) The athlete has superb technical skills in addition to outstanding athleticism. 4) The athlete typically plays, or is capable of playing, all six rotations (or is truly superior in a more limited capacity). 5) The athlete could potentially play Division I or II Collegiate Volleyball. 6) The athlete possesses and exhibits outstanding personal characteristics. 7) The athlete is in good standing and is not in violation of, nor being reviewed for violations of, any Athletic or School Code of Conduct. HOW TO NOMINATE PLAYERS · Complete the REGISTRATION FORM and send it along with your TEAM'S COMPETITION SCHEDULE. · The head coach must be a WVCA member, go to http://www.wvcawi.net/membershipform.htm to become a member. All nominations must be received by September 12, 2010. Nomination lists and competition information are given to the evaluation committee immediately after the deadline so that they can begin the evaluation process.
